NEW ROAD Construction Management attended the groundbreaking ceremony Thursday July 11, 2024 for the start of construction for the new Clifton Heights Middle School.  The new site will be located 201 North Springfield Road, Clifton Heights, PA.

This approximately $91M facilities improvement project is another step — following the successful expansion and renovation of Aronimink Elementary School — in helping to ease longstanding overcrowding at the middle school level, to decrease class sizes, and to eliminate outdated modular units which were intended for temporary use.

“After several years of working to address the need for a new middle school in our school district, we are excited to see the initiation of this project finally come to fruition and look forward to continuing to work to improve the learning environments for students across the district,” stated Dr. Daniel P. McGarry, Superintendent of Schools.

The new 167,000 SF Middle School will include a dedicated parking lot, full-size competition football field, baseball field, little league field, softball field, playground, and walking trail along the perimeter.  Congratulation to the Upper Darby School District for planning such an impressive project.  NEW ROAD Construction Management is proud to serve UDSD and we look forward to building this amazing middle school and to working with the team on another successful project.

Don Fields, President of the Board of School Directors, looks forward to families benefiting from the new facility as a neighborhood school. “Upon completion,” he states, “Clifton Heights Middle School will be a state of the art 21st century learning space with improved fields and grounds and a school that will be the pride of the community.”
