NEW ROAD Construction Management Company, Inc. has been named the winner of a Project Achievement Award for 2019 by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Mid-Atlantic Chapter: K-12 Construction under $20 Million, for the Manasquan Public School District Referendum Construction Program
NEW ROAD provided full-time, full scope project/construction management services to the Manasquan Public School District for a $12 million construction program at the Elementary School and High School. NEW ROAD’s involvement began in pre-construction and extended through post-construction. The project included a second story cantilevered addition in the front of the high school, a new elevator, new science classrooms and STEM Lab, reconstruction of parking lot, renovation of Elementary School Media Center, replacement of Elementary School fire alarm system and access control system. Project challenges included working around an occupied high school under tight timelines and delivering a multiple-phase, multi-contract construction program safely, on time, and under budget. The construction program was divided into eight separate work packages; five of these were traditional design-bid-build contracts; two were contracted via cooperative purchasing agreements, and one other was designed and then bid and constructed via separate contracts for flooring, ceilings, lighting, painting and furnishings, with NEW ROAD coordinating the work of each separate contractor.
The Project Achievement Awards were presented at the CMAA Awards Banquet on June 12, 2019 at The Union League of Philadelphia. We would like to like to thank Eugene Cattani Jr., for joining us at the banquet and accepting this award.
